The only elusive shot for Laura was Hannah's smile, which at 2 1/2 weeks was just beginning to appear. She is all laughs and giggles these days, so it is getting much easier to capture it on film. Here's a photo from yesterday of both of our happy kiddos. Here, Kyle wanted to be wrapped up in a crib sheet with Hannah, and instead was giggling at the term "cheesy macaroni????" (Thanks to Laura for the fix!)

The Youngest Walker is Walking

Kyle is just on the verge of walking - on Sunday he began taking his first steps, with only one of two before he grabs on to something else. He's still trying to build up some more confidence, and gets frustrated if I don't give him my hands for support, but every now and then he'll let go and manage a quick step or two to his next grabbing on point. I met another mom on Tuesday who's son is 2-weeks older and is now up to 10-11 steps on his own. She said just wait, this week it is a couple of steps, next week it will be 5, then the week after he'll be up to 10, and before long we will both be chasing after the boys!

6-month photos

We had a wonderful week between Christmas and the New Year, with Auntie Laura and Uncle Scott visiting from Washington. We are truly spoiled to have two photographers in the family, and as Laura says, we wouldn't be able to stop them taking photos even if we wanted them to! Wallflower Photography visits CA

Although it is difficult to have Auntie Laura living so far away, it is luckily not too long a flight. Laura was able to meet Kyle when he was 2-weeks old, and then come again for a visit when Kyle turned 3-months. She took some fantastic photos at both visits, and it is amazing to see the changes as our little boy continues to grow! I hope that we don't get too used to having professional photos taken every three months, I know that this can't go on forever!
